PENTECOST...
...AND BEYOND.

Imagine begin worried or afraid. Actually, that’s not difficult to do since it may very well describe us at various times throughout each week.
That’s exactly what the disciples of Jesus were feeling after he left them and ascended into heaven.
Now what?
We’re alone again! This guy who is our leader is gone.
He says he will be with us always. Yeah, right.
He says he’s sending us an advocate.
Not only that, he’s telling us to go out and do something-
baptize and make disciples.
They WAIT and PRAY and are OPEN for something to happen.
And it does!!! PENTECOST happens!
The HOLY SPIRIT comes with GIFTS,
With strength, and courage, and wisdom, and....
The list goes on and on...
We need to PRAY and BE OPEN to God’s Spirit in our lives also.
Pentecost isn’t a one time event
Let yourself be transformed
From worried to hopeful.
From fearful to courageous
From_________to___________.
Then go out and help build the kingdom of God.
